Seventh axis for Cobot
Servo drive for a so-called seventh axis of Cobot installations. This can be used for moving a Cobot or an extra rotation for welding or sanding, for example.
For this, we take an AS228 PLC, possibly extended with an HMI, for easy adjustment.
The PLC controls the servo system via Canbus. Via EthernetIP or modbusTCP, it communicates with the Cobots from TM , UR or Comau.
The video below shows a grinding process. The manipulator communicates with the UR-COBOT via servos.
At The company Van Raam, the seventh axis controls the loading position back and forth between the TM-Cobot and the CNC bench.
